IMHO this happens because when you load the firmware in the card it remains in it (no matter the OS used) until you power off pc.
The gobi card is recognized by Sony WebToGo. Hovewer the card didn't work, in the windows devices control panel there was only a gobi com5 port and not the usb gobi peripheral and the gobi modem one.ģ.In linux I unpacked the panasonic driver gobi2000_driver-firmware3600_V2.01L17M00EU.zip (hp,lenovo drivers didnt work) with msiextract/cabextract then loaded the generic firmware files to card using gobi-loader (search google).Ĭhecking with lsusb the card exited the QDL mode (1 ttyUSB device) and appear to be recognized (3 ttyUSB devices).Ĥ.I rebooted in win xp and now devices control panel there were two more gobi devices, the usb and the modem ones. Then I enabled WAN in bios.Ģ.In winxp I installed a gobi driver withouth restrictions maybe this one from Gateway 3G-CM_Qualcomm_Gobi2000_v2.15.151_7x86_XP.zip and the Sony connection manager WebToGo EP0000227325.exe
